The Felix Grundy Stidger Historical Preservation Foundation was granted non-profit 501 (c)3 status on January 12, 2017, with the purpose of advocating, educating, and fundraising to restore the log cabin home of Union Spy Felix Grundy Stidger so that all can benefit from history, enhance tourism, and learn how this man had an influence on the outcome of The Civil War.
Built in 1830, The Stidger House is located downtown Taylorsville, Kentucky. The current state of the Stidger home is poor. Our vision is to restore this building and establish a museum showcasing the home’s history. We are currently trying to reconstruct the saddlebag log home with support from the community. There may be opportunities for you and your family to become actively involved with the Felix Grundy Stidger Historical Preservation Foundation.
